Acupuncture

How it works

Identify the Root Cause

Our experts first understand your body type, symptoms, and energy balance to locate where healing is needed most.

Gentle Point Stimulation

Fine, painless needles are placed on key meridian points to improve blood flow, release tension, and trigger the body’s natural repair mechanism.

Restore Harmony

As sessions progress, you’ll notice deeper relaxation, improved energy, and long-term relief not just symptom control.

Benefits

Pain Relief

Targets chronic pain from arthritis, sciatica, and migraines. Reduces inflammation at its source — naturally.

Energy & Vitality

Enhances blood flow, boosts oxygen to tissues, and reduces fatigue — restoring daily vitality.

Stress & Sleep

Calms the nervous system, regulates hormones, and promotes deeper sleep and mental clarity.

Whole-Body Balance

Supports long-term healing without medication. Restores harmony in mind, body, and spirit.

How We Can Help You

Chronic or acute pains

Acupuncture stimulates specific points along the body’s energy pathways to block pain signals and trigger the release of natural endorphins. It effectively addresses both long-term chronic pain (joints, back, neck) and sudden acute pain from injuries or muscle strain — without relying on medication.

Migraine / Headaches

By targeting pressure points around the head, neck, and shoulders, acupuncture reduces the frequency and intensity of migraines. It improves blood flow, relieves muscular tension, and calms the nervous system — offering lasting relief where painkillers often fall short.

Cervical or Lumbar Spondylitis

Acupuncture reduces the inflammation and stiffness associated with spinal degeneration in the neck (cervical) and lower back (lumbar). Fine needles placed near the affected vertebrae help relax surrounding muscles, improve circulation, and restore mobility over a course of treatment.

Infertility (Male & Female)

Acupuncture supports reproductive health by balancing hormonal levels, improving blood flow to the uterus and ovaries in women, and enhancing sperm quality and motility in men. It also reduces stress — a key factor affecting fertility — and is commonly used alongside IVF to improve success rates.

Insomnia / Stress & Anxiety

Acupuncture calms an overactive nervous system by regulating cortisol (the stress hormone) and boosting serotonin and melatonin production. Sessions leave patients deeply relaxed, helping break cycles of poor sleep, chronic anxiety, and mental restlessness — naturally and without sedatives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Yes. When performed by a licensed practitioner, acupuncture is a very safe and effective therapy. At Olista Health, all sessions are conducted by certified professionals using sterile, single-use needles.

Most patients feel little to no pain. The needles used are hair-thin — far finer than an injection needle — and the sensation is usually described as a mild tingling or warmth.

This depends on your condition, how long you’ve had it, and how your body responds. Most patients start noticing improvement within 3–5 sessions. Your therapist will give you a clear session plan after the initial assessment.

Acupuncture is commonly used for back pain, sciatica, cervical spondylitis, migraines, insomnia, stress, anxiety, and infertility — among many others. At Olista, we assess your specific condition and tailor the treatment accordingly.

Acupuncture is generally very well tolerated. Occasionally, mild bruising or a slight ache at the needle site may occur, but these resolve quickly. There are no medication-related side effects.

A typical session at Olista lasts between 30 to 60 minutes, including the initial case review and the treatment itself.
